Founded in 1925, our club is affiliated with the NRA, and supports a varety of shooting sports and marksmanship activities for our members from the Southern WI/Northern IL stateline area.

Range Construction


General Work Day Schedule 2024

Saturday, April 6

7am – 3:30pm

  • Install new target boards on front and back ranges.
  • Repair stairs on Archery tower 
  • Re-install wash stations in outhouses on front range
  • General Range Cleanup
  • Pickup trash on Philhower Rd
  • Installing LED Lights in the ready area of existing Indoor Range
  • Other miscellaneous repair jobs

    As with all Work Days, you can come at 7:00 am and get your full 8 hrs in, or can work for 1/2 day if your schedule dictates. Lunch will be provided for all who work the full day.

Saturday, May 4

7am – 3:30pm

  • Start the installation of the clear vinyl sound curtains on the back of the Main Range firing line.
  • We will be finishing the repairs on the Archery Tower stairs
  • Other jobs have yet to be determined.
  • An announcement will be put on the Facebook Members Page and on the Website next week. We are also still looking for more people to help with the NRA Day Youth Sportsfest on Friday May 10th from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Signup in the clubhouse. As with all Work Days, you can come at 7:00 am and get your full 8 hrs in, or can work for 1/2 day if your schedule dictates. Lunch will be provided for all who work the full day.

Saturday, June 1

7am – 3:30pm

  • Painting the plywood on the overhead baffles in the New Indoor Range.
  • Painting the bow holder stands and repaired areas of the Archery stand stairs.
  • Landscaping repair work around old septic tank behind clubhouse.
  • Service / Lubricate Air Handling Unit on old Indoor Range
  • Repair gun rack bases on Main Range
  • Clean rain gutters on old Indoor Range
  • Install work bench in New Indoor Range ready room
  • Install two gun racks in New Indoor Range
  • Additional work yet to be identified.

As with all Work Days, you can come at 7:00 am and get your full 8 hrs in, or can work for 1/2 day if your schedule dictates. Lunch will be provided for all who work the full day.

Saturday, July 13

7am – 3:30pm

  • Most of the Work scheduled will be on the Back Range and Cowboy Ranges and will be coordinated by Range Construction Assistant Director Bruce Nygren.
  • Please meet at the Clubhouse at 7:00 am to sign in. If you come after 7:15 am, please proceed to the Cowboy Range to meet up with the work crews.
  • There will be some limited work being performed on the Front Range including some small painting jobs, front chain link fence repair and Main Range target repair.

As with all Work Days, you can come at 7:00 am and get your full 8 hrs in, or can work for 1/2 day if your schedule dictates. Lunch will be provided for all who work the full day.

Replacing targets and backboards on Main Range, install numbers for target frames, clean the Clubhouse and set up for Sight In Days
8am – 2pm
